About Us

We Are

We are a Spirit-filled church committed to the historical and unchanging truths of the Bible and of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Believing that one of our purposes is to reach people who are not comfortable in a traditional church setting, we express these unchanging truths in a contemporary style.

We encourage meaningful worship, the regular teaching of God’s Word, the exercise of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and intimate fellowship with the Lord.

Grace Vineyard Christian Fellowship was established in 1991 as a Spirit-filled non-denominational church under the leadership of Pastor John Sullivan. Although the church functioned as an independent congregation, it was closely related to the values and worship style of the Vineyard movement founded by John Wimber. In 2002 the church formally became coupled with the Association of Vineyard Churches.

We Believe

The Bible to be inspired and the authoritative Word of God which is true, useful, and relevant for today.

There is only one God eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit. He is holy, sovereign, and the creator of the universe.

God is always good and He always wants the best for His children.

God is eager to be known and experienced by all and we value the passionate pursuit of God’s presence.

Through Jesus’ death on the cross He has the power to set people free from the penalty of sin and death.

We are saved by God’s grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that all can be reconciled to God through repentance and by receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

The Holy Spirit has been given to us as our comforter, teacher, and guide. We also believe that the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in those who have given their lives to Jesus.

The Holy Spirit has given us supernatural and spiritual gifts that are for use today. These gifts have been given to us for the edification, exhortation, and comfort of those we come in contact with.

We Value

Love as received from Jesus Christ and demonstrated to us by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit empowers us to love others where they currently are, where they have been, and where they will be.

Honor towards Jesus and others, through which we place a high value and worth on Jesus as our Savior and on one another as His creation.

Unity in the body of Christ where we have oneness of direction with the Holy Spirit. We value the uniqueness of each individual and fully understand that unity is not uniformity. We are committed to the unity of the various Christian congregations in Los Alamos and strive to work and fellowship with them when possible.

Faith which is demonstrated by trusting God for what is thought to be unreachable, unreasonable, and impossible.
Obedience towards Jesus as we seek to hear the voice of God and walk in His ways with every situation. As we walk, we long to do what we see Jesus doing.

Christ-Centered Worship by celebrating the person and work of Jesus Christ and by seeking fellowship and intimacy with Him.
